Here’s why you should visit the Columbia River Gorge
There are so many waterfalls! The Columbia River Gorge is home to some of the most magnificent falls in the country. With iconic spots like Multnomah Falls, that cascade multiple tiers of rushing water, there will be countless photos taken.
With over 295,000 acres of land, the Columbia River Gorge boasts some of the most spectacular views your eyes can look at. Truly a wonderland for outdoor enthusiasts, there are plenty of lookout spots for you to either hike, climb, or drive to. We recommend you check out the Crown Point Vista House. This view encapsulates the beauty of the gorge in one panoramic snapshot. With rolling greens hills that funnel down to the magnificent Columbia River, this is a sight you won’t want to miss.
Wine and Beer
Inside the gorge there are new wineries and breweries that seem to pop up everyday. With incredibly fertile land and pure Columbia River water, it’s no wonder these strong beverage manufacturers are flocking to the gorge. In particular, there are breweries like Full Sail Brewing Co. that are well known around the country. These tasty adult drinks are making themselves known, which is why you deserve to know what they taste like rather than hear us talk about them.
Hikes and Bikes
We mentioned the jaw-dropping views and picture-perfect waterfalls, so it only makes sense that the hiking and bike trails are incredible. Most of the trails lead to these spectacles, which is only a fair tradeoff for exerting some physical effort. We’ve highlighted many reasons why you should grab you bike or lace up your hiking shoes, just incase you needed more inspiration.
